Mayor Richard M. Daley in 1991: 'I've never taken anything for granted in my life'

Thursday, July 24, 2014
This time out, we set the WAYBAC machine for a time when Mayor Richard M. Daley had yet to complete his first term in office and was hoping for a second go-round. On Feb. 12, 1991, he visited the WNUA-FM 95.5 studios at 444 N. Michigan Ave. for a sit-down with WNUA’s Jenette Kerr, the Chicago Sun-Times’ Lynn Sweet and me. (With a pre-interview cameo by Daley’s then-deputy press secretary, Carolyn Grisko.)

It gets especially fun around 29:00.
