Bulls' hit / 2 rules for life

3 things for Saturday, Chicago:

BULLS' HIT. Mentioned in Mayor Emanuel's news release yesterday on the Bulls' new practice facility: "The new facility ... will be funded completely by the Bulls." Not mentioned: "A $95 million retail and entertainment complex on the east side of the United Center is contingent on ... an updated version of the property tax formula that has saved the Bulls and Hawks millions on property tax bills assessed against the United Center." (This passage as originally published on this blog has been corrected.)

And ... a new feature: Rules for Living.
* When you emerge from a revolving door, take at least two steps away so the next person out can escape the revolution.
* When you're putting things away -- groceries, dishes, medicine supplies -- everything goes in front. Nothing in back. This makes finding things easier.
This post has been updated to make clear which part of United Center-area construction hinges on a tax break.
