My hopes for journalism by 2030

Thursday, October 8, 2020
Invited by my friend and University of Nebraska Omaha Professor Jeremy Harris Lipschultz* to address the UNO Social Media Lab’s #Omaha2020 conference—assembled virtually today to predict the future of the news business over the next decade—I declined.

Events of the last four years in particular have dissuaded me from making predictions.

Instead, I shared my hopes for the future of the news business—adapted in part from a January piece I filed for Newcity.

Got five minutes to spare? Here you go.

* To whose book, Social Media Communication, I’ve been honored to contribute through several editions.
